FAQ

Q: How far in advance should we consider booking you?

As soon as possible! I often receive inquiries many months (sometimes years!) in advance, so the sooner you reach out, the greater the chances that I’m available for your date! You can fill in your (planned) date right in my contact form from where I can block it off on my calendar should we decide to work together.

Q: Should we do an engagement session?

I would definitely recommend for couples to do an engagement session as it is such a memorable event of the relationship, and the images from the shoot make great Save-the-Dates, or even to be displayed on the wedding day! Engagement sessions are also a great way for me to get to know you both as a couple!

Q: How would you describe your style?

My style as a photographer is professional, effortless, and approachable. Your photos will be a perfect collaboration between you and I, and we’ll get the chance to talk about your vision for that day, my expertise and recommendations, and how we can tie it all together well before your wedding. My photography style is elegant and simplistic. I aim to capture not only the big moments of the day, but those special in-between moments, the raw emotions felt, and the small, often-overlooked details of the event (like the bouquet, the bride’s shoes, or a groom’s personalized cufflinks).

Q: What is your approach on the Day-Of?

My role as photographer on your wedding day is to blend in and document the day without interrupting the flow. I do this by being well prepared (I may bring assistants or second shooters, as needed), arriving early and getting set up, and mostly staying out of your way to let you enjoy the day. I will be present to capture all the key moments, people, and emotions, but I will do so in a very unobtrusive way.

Q: I’m not comfortable in front of the camera… What do you suggest?

This is a concern I hear a lot, and I don’t want you to worry! Since most of the photos I take will be out of natural scenes of the day, you won't even notice me taking pictures half the time. When it’s time for your portraits (of you or you and your loved ones), I will offer guidance on the best angles and lighting, but my laid-back personality usually helps people feel at ease, so the images come out looking natural and effortless. The easiest way to forget about the cameras is to just focus on each other during the day and shoot.

Q: how will we receive our final images?

All of your final pictures will be edited professionally in my unique style for color correction, lighting, and details. I also offer extended editing and retouching services for people’s
appearances to ensure everyone looks their best. However, all of my editing is very light and natural, so you don't have to worry about anyone not looking like themselves!
For your final image delivery, I will send you a link (this could be about 6-8 weeks after your wedding – depending on the time of the year) to a private gallery from where you can view and download your images. All final images will be edited, in high-resolution, and in full color (I will also include several duplicates for you in black and white). Special gallery features allow you to share your pictures with family and friends, mark selected ones as private, and print directly from the gallery.

Q: Where are you based, and do you travel for weddings?

I am based in Los Angeles, CA, and yes! I’d love to travel to your wedding or photoshoot destination! I can travel interstate or internationally – please tell me about your location (or even location ideas) when you reach out to me.

Q: Do you give out raw (unedited) images?

Like most professional photographers, I do not give out raw images since these don't accurately represent the essence captured on the day, or my work and brand. Edited pictures will give you the best experience and a cohesive end result, so you don't have to worry about any inconsistencies in lighting or appearance in your photos.
